One of our aims in developing this toolkit has been to ensure that it is user friendly and cross referenced with other literature.
It has been created in line with the Code of Practice produced by ACAS (Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service). Whilst failure to comply does not itself render anyone liable to prosecution, it can be used as evidence by Employment Tribunals.
This code will also be taken into account by the arbitrators appointed by ACAS to determine cases brought under the ACAS Arbitration Scheme.
