This half day course is designed to equip managers with the skills required to help them to get better results from the conversations that they have with their employees. This interactive and participative workshop helps to build confidence in approaching conversations that they may otherwise either “put off” or “delay” or “pussy foot” around.

Who Should Attend?

The workshop is for team leaders and managers that need to hold sometimes difficult or awkward conversations and who don’t always get the results from these conversations that they want to.

Workshop Content

  • Understand makes a difficult conversation?

Identifying why the conversation is difficult. The do’s and don’ts of approaching conversations.

  • Developing a system for holding difficult conversations

Examines the different methods and approaches required to hold the conversation successfully whilst still addressing attitudes and “explosive” situations.

  • Documenting and moving to discipline

Knowing what records to keep from conversations and when to move to a disciplinary stage.

  • Role Play and interactive sessions

Throughout the training there are role plays, interactive sessions and games to help the delegates practise and understand the processes and methods
