What Norville Group say about our Free Employment Law & Health and Safety Updates

Initially we thought that we had a good understanding of employment law and best practice, however, through HR Champions' series of free employment legislation updates, we quickly realised that most issues are not as straight forward as we might like to think!

Held throughout the year in Gloucester, Cheltenham and Worcester, our Employment Law and Health & Safety update meetings are a great opportunity to get yourself up to date with the latest changes in Employment Law that affect employers and businesses. The short, sharp meetings and relaxed yet informative. You'll be with other business owners, Directors and HR managers who share similar issues to you. Meetings are FREE to attend for our clients and local businesses, and are planned to minimise the impact on you normal working day. PLUS you get breakfast on us.

Summer 2017:

We're running a mid-year Employment Law Update which will be enhanced with an optional briefing entitled "Recruitment Process Pitfalls". We will run through some case studies of "techniques" that some employers have used during recruitment, landing them in hot water. For example:

  • The manager who asked an interviewee to marry him
  • How a female interviewee's red lipstick and heels earned her extra points at interview
  • The psychometric test that was discriminatory
  • How the withdrawal of a job offer cost an employer £3,000

We'll discuss all this and more, plus processes and tactics to make sure the same doesn't happen to you.
