It is widely accepted that the most valuable assets of a business are its employees. At HR Champions, we would tend to agree with this concept, but we also recognise that the wrong employees can be a huge drain on a business's resources. We want to help businesses to help themselves to become profitable through the correct application of HR and management principles.
Our experience has taught us how companies differ greatly in how they rate the importance of HR, and this is demonstrated by the variety of support and services we have been commissioned to undertake. Whilst no two organisations are the same , the support we have provided tends to fall into one of the following two categories.
1. Employment Law Helpline Services - Provision of telephone and e-mail support where a company does not have an employee in a dedicated HR position.
2. Handholding an HR Manager/Manager through a difficult or new process.
Since 2001 , we have worked with a diverse portfolio of clients whose needs have been met by the committed team of consultants and support staff here at HR Champions.

There was much furore around Settlement Agreements when they were introduced by the Government last year. Effectively giving employers the opportunity to exit a staff member under a self administered compromise agreement, critics claim that Settlement Agreements make it too easy to get rid of employees.

Settlement discussions work both way, an employee can initiate a settlement discussion as well as the employer, therefore it can only be prudent for employers to understand the pros and cons of such a discussion and be equipped to be able to hold a discussion
This seminar will help you:
  • Build confidence in managing a settlement agreement discussion
  • Understand what is covered in the settlement agreement remit
  • Appreciate the risks associated with failing to follow Employment Legislation
  • Appreciate what good looks like when conducting a discussion
